Anyways, the first thought I had of this book was that it was a stretched out novella that was rushed in the last chapter to cram in everything. I took me about 45 minutes to finish the book, which is a bit too quick for me, even though I re-red the last couple of chapter two or three times.
I certainly did have higher hopes for this book. Not that it was terrible, although I guess anything compared to Rebel Belle is sub-par. It's just another nice book, nothing too, too special, around 3.5-4 stars- like an 80%.
In the sequel to Rebel Belle, Harper continues her ultra-risky relationship with Daniel, and cute and innocent (...) Bee returns! Oh, and did I mention a crazy and power hungry group comes down to good ol' Alabama? Yeah. Crazy stuff.
I think the book would be good for teenage females, or perhaps any females in their early to mid-twenties with YA as a favorite genre.
I definitely expected more from Rachel Hawkins, but what can a girl do? I hope the next book will be better than Miss Mayhem. It was pretty good, but not with the spark of enthusiasm Rebel Belle ignited.
Have a lovely day!
