At first, I was like,"Whaaat?" Thank you Jackie Chan!
I came across the perfect tip for this time of year yesterday! Microwave your lotion for five seconds, to extra soothe your dry winter skin. At first, I was like,"Whaaat?" Thank you Jackie Chan! Have a lovely day!

Obesity is a major problem in America. And one of the causes is cereal! They sound sooo beneficial for you, and we've all heard it before,"Chock full of vitamins, eat ___!" or "Eat __ to get your day off to a healthy start! Just no. No. I read this book recently, called Pandora's Lunchbox, that talked all about the American food society and all the goop we digest unknowingly that is slowly killing us. That's right folks. Tony Tiger and Sam Toucan are killing you from the inside. Often, the so-called 'beneficial vitamins' are useless. Not to mention, they're loaded with GMO's. You do not want to put that in your body, trust me. You might think I'm some crazy health nut, but I enjoy my cupcake's as much as anybody else. When debating what to eat for the most important meal of the day, eat real food. I don't mean expensive stuff, just good and nourishing food, that isn't loaded with chemicals. Don't be fooled by 'serving sizes' either. A serving size could be as little as a quarter cup- think portions. Four servings with nine grams of sugar per each, could count up to thirty six grams of sugar for a skimpy breakfast. "But Cheerio's!" you cry out,'They lower cholesterol! Buzz told me so!" Well, I'm sorry to say, this iconic American breakfast cereal only possesses 1 gram or less of soluble fiber, thus not being very effective in fighting cholesterol. So, the next time you're pondering, just what to eat for breakfast, push away those Cheerio's and Frosted Flakes, and instead reach for a heart-healthy bowl of oatmeal or some orange juice and fruit.
Gowns- clothes in general, made back in the 18th or 19th century often had better quality and more care taken into the clothes. Whenever I look at my closet, I wonder,"I wish I lived back in the 18th century!" But then again not, because, you know, disease running rampant. It's not often you come across that kind of love nowadays. They had such beautiful care taken into them! Each individual stitch was a labor of love! Today, you can't find that kind of quality much anymore. I mean, check out that detailing! It's the fondant roses on a five tiered cake! Have a lovely day!
First, let's all get a cover of Rebel Belle and gawk at it. 'Don't judge a book by it's cover,' goes flying out the window. Gorgeous! *mouth drops* Now, lets compare it to Miss Mayhem. Not so hot- sorry Rachel Hawkins. I expected something more.... strong and feminine. And loads better. Definitely not a Prom Queen statue or whatever holding a whatever that is. I will give her some points for the pretty pastel color, rose petals, and font. Otherwise though, yuck. I was thinking maybe a high heel embedded in a wall or something, because that's how Dr. DuPont is killed by Harper in the first book. Hopefully, the cover is symbolic and it means something really awesome and our minds are blown in a OMG-Rachel-We-Love-You-You're-A-Freaking-Genius way. But I am highly doubtful of that incident happening. Us readers had the bar set higher for the second cover, but, it's inside what counts. The title is adorable, and perfect though. And why does it say best-selling author of the Hex Hall series?! WE CARE ABOUT REBEL BELLE! And Dexter in School Spirits too! Needless to say, I will be rushing to Barnes and Noble as soon as it hits stores, no questions asked, whether it has an ugly cover or not. Rating {Cover} of Rebel Belle: ★★★★★ Rating {Cover} of Miss Mayhem: ★★☆☆☆ And if you haven't read Rebel Belle, WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING HERE?! Run like your butt is on fire to the bookstore or the library! P.S.: Where can I buy the Rebel Belle necklace? SO. CUTE!!! This book was good in a I-want-to-jump-off-a-cliff-I'm-so-sad way, but also in a Ohmigod-why-didn't-I-read-this-before way. Almost every Laurie Halse Anderson book makes me feel that way!. It was basically the book that got her famous, so I was dying to read it. I was not disappointed. Like Wintergirls, it started with the main character feeling isolated, with some minor characters having a unusually big role- Heather, for instance. |
